How do vegan soy wax wraps differ from Beeswax wraps?
Soy wax food wraps have similar water resistance and self-stick properties to beeswax - the only notable difference is that vegan wax wraps have a slight shine due to the nature of vegetable waxes.
I've individually handprinted each wrap from wooden blocks to create a design with the slubs and individualities unique to this form of decoration. No one will have a set just like yours!
How do use wax wraps?
Your food wraps mould and grip with the warmth of your hands – simply shape the wrap around the container you want to seal or press together to close over sandwiches. Once the wrap is bonded (approximately 5-10 seconds) it has formed a water repellant seal that keeps your food fresh. Please note that wax can only be used with fully cooled food and is not suitable for microwaves, ovens or hot plates.
How long will my wraps last?
Your wraps will last between six months to a year with regular use – this natural formula will not crack or flake in your refrigerator or cool box.
Looking after your wraps
To clean your wrap simply wash it under cold running water (Hot water or dish soap will strip the finish) or wipe it with a damp sponge. Leave to line dry or wipe with a drying cloth. You can store your wrap anywhere that doesn’t get too hot – a kitchen draw is ideal. When your wrap reaches the end of its useful life simply cut into strips and compost it.
